As a follow up to my article on Salt Lake City rentals I found this and wanted to link to it.
Shaun Donovan, U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, was in Salt Lake City recently to praise local leaders for their vision for the future of Salt Lake City rentals.
“Salt Lake City has not only been a leader, it’s also been a model for the entire nation” in turning around such areas with smart planning, Donovan said.
“We are here to celebrate the beginning of the next remarkable chapter of this vision that you have,” Donovan told Utah leaders Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker, Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon, West Valley City Mayor Mike Winder and Lt. Gov. Greg Bell.
Salt Lake City will begin renovating an undesirable area to turn it into apartments, shops, and offices that would connect to the great transportaion system, Trax, already in place in Salt Lake City according to https://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/politics/51925771-90/area-development-donovan-lake.html.csp.
