Apartment Rentals Salt Lake City Near Capacity

As a follow up to my article on rentals Salt Lake City I found this and wanted to link to it.

Finding an apartment rental Salt Lake City is not as easy as it used to be. Midyear reports for 2011 showed apartments with 20 or more units to be at 5.3 percent vacancy rate. Typically 5 percent is considered full capacity according to the folks at https://www.deseretnews.com/article/705388777/Apartments-near-full-capacity-in-Salt-Lake-valley.html.

“It’s a tighter market than it once was,” said Jed Millburn, managing principal with ARA. “It went from being a renter’s market to now shifting over to a landlord’s market.”

“There are a lot more people looking for apartments because they can’t get a home loan or (decided) they don’t want to buy a home because they consider it to be a risky investment,” he said.
